How to Become Radiantly Beautiful & Vibrantly Healthy

Summer offers us the time to partake of Live Food from our gardens, from trees and bushes!!! Summer is filled with a vast array of fresh produce to fill us with the Energy of the Sun and offer us the benefits of true cleansing and renewal. I cannot begin to tell you how much I appreciate and am grateful for fresh mulberries straight from the Source! I can actually feel surges of energy course through my body minutes after partaking of this fruit! I also enjoy raspberries and fresh greens from the garden. What we put into our body (food AND thoughts) can make all the difference. Discrimination is key when choosing our dietary intake. Will that processed candy bar offer us the same Vitality as a bowl of freshly picked raspberries grown from the soil we live on? Use Fresh Live Food to be one of your Secret Beauty Treatments~ Radiating Beauty and Health comes from within!

I found the Life Force Energy book by Natalia Rose to provide alot of beneficial information to those seeking a higher quality of life and well-being. This way of eating and regarding food is not a diet per se, but a lifestyle...a choice. You don't have to become a vegetarian or eat all raw foods (which according to Traditional Chinese Medicine is not advocated for those living in cold climates)...you simply have to learn how to discriminate what you take in.
Tips such as eating light foods first (ie fruit) before ingesting heavier foods is offered, along with the rules of food combining. Recipes are also included.
Are you filled with Life Force Energy? Here are a few questions from the test listed in the book (pg 109-113):
Please finish the following sentence: I like what I see in the mirror...
a) alot
b) sometimes
c) not at all
------------
a) I am the kind of person who counts my blessings
b) I'm working so hard to keep things going in my life that I often forget to pause and be grateful for what I've done and what I have. I'd love to have a moment to reflect on the good things in my life, but I always have something else to do.
c) I am often critical of my life and what I lack.
------------
How true is the following statement for you? I am very happy with my weight.
a) completely
b) somewhat
c) not at all
-------------
Please finish the following sentence: I enjoy the food I usually eat...
a) a lot
b) somewhat
c) not at all. I feel very deprived.
--------------
As Spock would say..."Live Long & Prosper".
Enjoy and have a Delicious Summer~

"Venus" & Your Values Create Your Foundation

Part of the Treasure Chest Series (& the Featured Astrology Segment)

Venus, Aphrodite, the Goddess of Beauty...whatever you wish to call her...Venus is the planet which rules Taurus and the 2nd house in astrology. And from that we can surmise that Taurus and the 2nd house have something to do with "beauty".

What inspired me to write about this was picking the word card "Treasure Chest--Open it Up & Discover what is in Your's". What do you value enough to tuck away safe and protected to hold onto forever?? This is what Taurus energy represents.

Taurus energy goes along and collects things to hold onto memories...to make life's experiences tangible. We often want to cherish and hold onto things/memories that are beautiful. But we also hold onto to things that are "valuable" to us...this may also entail the darker side of this astrological sign. This can mean we hold onto things/memories that will provide us some perceived need (for one day some day down the line). People can carry a heavy load with them. People can value some (negative) experience because in some (distorted) way it is gives the person something of value. When they need to call up that experience...it is sitting right there in their Treasure Chest. The memory, although it doesn't serve them in a healthy way, it offers them a sense of self-worth...it is from that idea of themselves which they build their self-esteem and self-definition...it serves as a cornerstone to their personal foundation.

The 2nd house is our Foundation, our self-worth, our core values...and of course, it wants to be comfortable and physically secure/safe. This morning after picking my card I wrote a quick list...whatever came spontaneously into my mind and I wrote it down. I compared this list to what I wrote down just a few months ago. I was intrigued how what I wrote down this morning was significantly different from just a few months ago. I still appreciate and enjoy what I wrote down months ago, BUT my emphasis has shifted from the external, tangible world to internal traits that give me value. An example is a few months ago I placed in my "Treasure Chest" an appreciation of a good cup of morning coffee and today the first item on my list was Internal Peace, peace of mind. Both examples in their own way give my life it's form and definition. They state something which I value and find important or appreciate.

After contemplating a bit over this discovery I realized that as one makes a change in their life, after making a life choice to move for example, that this may alter what in your Treasure Chest. Occasionally we need to open up our personal Treasure Chest to peer inside and check out what we are actually carrying around day after day. Do we still value that T-shirt we wore back in college 20 years ago? Does it still hold the same meaning as it did back then? Do we still value, put worth to, following the crowd in order to be accepted and part of the consensus?

What gives your life meaning? What kind of things describe what you place importance on? What do you find beautiful? What do you appreciate enough to store away in order to offer a sense of security and foundation to stand upon?
Open up your Treasure Chest today and find out what you have packed inside of it.

In the Spirit of Healthy Competition & Sportsmanship

The odds were in favor of the opposing kickball team...but, call it "luck" or "intent to win"..."We Gunna Win", composed of 4 young women beat the opposing team of 13 members!
I needed to tell myself (a part of the not-winning team) that "It's not whether you win or lose...it is how you played the game". And with alot in life...displaying good sportsmanship is very important. Congratulations to my nieces and their 2 friends.

An Introduction to the Chakra System

What follows is a mere beginning to the Chakra Energy System. It will provide a few basics and how you may use this Resource / Tool to implement Deep Energetic CHANGE! Best Wishes.
(for more details and information on the chakras I recommend the book "Wheels of Light" by Anodea Judith.)
ROOT Chakra: grounding connection, survival, gravity--- into the physical body, stability, a sense of belonging. When an individual does not feel he/she is comfortable living here on Earth or in his/her body there is a definite imbalance in the first chakra. Eating "heavy" solid, dense foods like meats/proteins/nuts can assist in a dietary way. Daily mindful exercise (ie yoga, NOT fast moving like raquet ball) can bring mental energy down into the physical visceral body. Getting your hands dirty via gardening is an excellent way to connect to the Earth and feel like you belong and are provided for.
SACRAL Chakra: sexual connection, duality, attraction (to the opposite), nurturing, pleasure, emotions, relating to the other. When an individual has problems relating to others or experiences sexual health problems, this may indicate an imbalance in the second chakra. Because this is the chakra of clairsentience, this chakra represents the element of "water"...thus drinking clear liquids can assist in bringing harmony back to the orange-colored energy center. Engaging and relating with others by listening to others and understanding their emotional state can help recalibrate this chakra. Sexual and food addictions can stem from an imbalance here. Getting quality emotional therapy to address key emotional issues can be of help to curb the pleasures and appetites that are generated from the sacral chakra. Exercising the pelvic area will help loosen up the "guilt" that has been deposited over the years and generations...hula-hooping is an excellent choice!
SOLAR PLEXUS Chakra: connecting to one's own power, sense of authority, directing one's own personal will, metabolism and digestion. Have trouble losing weight? Do you lack self-confidence? This could be due to a deficient third chakra. The food related to this chakra is starch. Starches release quick energy and are used for those times of "fight or flight" responses. Because this relates to the adrenals...caffeine and stimulates often deplete this chakra. A high sugar diet will also diminish one's inherent resource of energy over time. Doing exercises that entail building up endurance (ie. treadmill for at least 20 min's every other day) and forgoing multiple cups of caffeine throughout the day will slowly build up a natural source of energy and help you EXUDE VIBRANCE!
HEART Chakra: compassionate connection to your surroundings, the ability to forgive and move on, unity, the ability to LOVE, connects the lower physical body with the mental bodies. When a person holds onto resentment, anger that is stored and not released, when one is selfish and hoards, the inability to share...these traits no doubt affect the health of the Heart chakra. Circulation issues, heart attacks, road rage are the result of a closed 4th chakra. The ablility to Let Go Let God is truly needed here to move on and open the Heart. To be able to Live in the NOW represents an open and flowing Heart chakra. What can assist in the health and well-being of a balanced 4th chakra? Breath work for one will help someone become more present, more conscious of the here and now. FORGIVENESS! Forgive yourself for any wrong doings. Ask others to forgive you. Forgive others that have done you wrong. Move away from the past and step into the "right here, right now". LIVE, by Giving of Yourself to Life once again~
THROAT Chakra: connecting to one's creative process, ability to Express one's self emotionally and logically, relating to music/sound. This chakra has all to do with sound and vibration. The inabilty to physically hear or the inabilty to listen to others represents an imbalance to the 5th chakra. Talking, either too talkative or not being able to express one's self is a key issue to the Throat chakra. As with all the higher chakras (5th-7th) using meditation techniques to tap into these higher frequency, more subtle energy systems, can assist someone into tapping into the blocks that obstuct energy flow. Eating a light diet composed of alot of fruits and vegetables will help open up the throat chakra. Taking up a creative endeavor and journaling are two ways to implement an energy boost here.
THIRD EYE Chakra: connecting to one's own Inner Light, intuition and a sense of Knowing, beliefs and the subconscious, clarity of perspective, open-mindedness, wisdom. Doubt puts a big damper to the 6th chakra. Also, a lack of Faith in something Greater than yourself diminishes the flow to the chakra associated with Light. Having clear vision, both physically and metaphorically, plays into the well-being of the 6th chakra. Do you have limited perspective? Not able to "see" another's point of view? Then perhaps some 6th chakra balancing is in need. Is there lack of mental focus or no peace of mind? These too, indicate a block in the Third Eye. Because this chakra entails alot of subtle energies, it may be hard to grasp where or why your blocks exist. Typically the block is due to a false belief...a "lie" you believed. A detailed review of all your subtle and not-so subtle beliefs may help you find what is preventing you from "seeing" Higher Truth.
CROWN Chakra: connecting to GOD--the Source of All, full integration of energies, Higher Understanding, Thoughts and the Subconscious, dreams. Thoughts...what do repetitively repeat to yourself day to day? Getting a hold of what you think on-goingly, both what you think consciously and subconsciously is so very important! Thoughts do create your reality. Depression is prevalent in our society today. We have become obsessed with being the best and having the most. And when we don't achieve what we think we want...we tell ourselves we are "bad, stupid..etc". Meditation is extremely important to become an awakened aware consciousness. A daily meditation practice will help us to discover what we honestly are thinking about ourselves and about Life. To become a person who KNOWS exactly why they do/say what they do. To BE rather than to merely "do" in life. Developing some sort of Spiritual Practice goes without saying. Commit to your Higher Self and with devotion and mindfulness this chakra will help you open up to a greater understanding AND appreciation of Life.

Prayer for CHANGE

A Prayer for CHANGE

God ALLOW me to reclaim my spirit, that it may guide me back to the Path I'm intended to walk. Open my eyes that I may "see" what living by ego's desires does to this world. Allow me to viscerally feel what selfishness and being materially-focused does to my thoughts and behavior.. Allow me to put my ego into its proper place...to recognize what I truly need as opposed to what I think I need. We have become a people solely focused on what we think we need and what we apparently lack, instead of soulfully rejoicing in all we have been given.

God I pray for Authentic Change...one that shakes up my life that I may Let Go of all that holds me back from living and Being more of Spirit. A Change so deep that it does not leave me living my life the same way day after day. A Change so deep that my thoughts are centered on Being a Light for You God.

God grant me Your Grace to guide me back to the Kingdom of Heaven promised to me.

Thank You for all You have Blessed me with.

I pray this in the name of Christ Consciousness.

~Amen
