GOD, I ask that You Illuminate my Darkness

Ezekiel 11:19 And I will give them singleness of heart and put a new spirit within them. I will take away their stony, stubborn heart and give them a tender, responsive heart.

Yesterday in particular, I was spiritually moved by the church service I attended. The Message was taken from Ezekiel 11:17-21. I want to offer my interpretation, share how it affected me, and suggest how this Inspiration applies to my Vision of Delicious Living.

The perspective of "living deliciously" (in regard to this blog) does not mean life is always sugar & spice...everything goes nice and smooth....Life going how you want it to go. No, rather I see living deliciously as the ability to flow with the twists and turns of Life with a sense of Grace. Taking each "problem" and shifting perspective to make it an opportunity for Growth and Expansion. However, many of us are not willing to Change---change lifestyle, give up old habits, detach ourselves from negative environments...etc. This was addressed yesterday.

What I have found in my own journey towards healing and wholeness...is how hard and difficult it can be. First, to admit to myself that there is a darkness that looms within me that is wanting to be recognized. Second, to allow all the deep, painful emotions that were repressed to come to the surface to actually be FELT viscerally. And third, to have the courage and strength to do something about it all...AND to sustain the effort consistently---despite the upsets (and there WILL be upset!) that come along attempting to stop any progress being made.

God desires us to live a joyful life. But God also asks that we Surrender ourselves fully...to allow Spirit to undo what needs to be undone in life. To have Spirit show us through Life Lessons where we need the Light, Love and Power of God to Shine in our life--- oftentimes through a dismantling of outworn emotional patterns. We must Give of ourselves fully, being Willing to give it all up in order to experience the Riches of Heaven while still here on Earth.

When Spirit has Called me to Action...I heard it, but have not always listened and acted upon it. I definitely KNEW full well my actions were not in alignment with Divine Will. And then, there were times when I did listen and did act---- leaving behind what needed to be cast out of my life in order for Spiritual Intervention and further growth to take place. And it was during those experiences that I felt the Presence of Spirit Alive in my Life...and I was indeed LIVING DELICIOUSLY.
